This is Public Health
This is a picture of the water cooler in my office at work. To me this is a very important part of public health. Not only is this meant to be a convenience for workers, it is meant to keep them healthy and hydrated while they work. Can you imagine if your workplace didn't have water available to drink? Considering water is essential to life and one of the most critical parts of overall health, workplace water coolers exemplify public health to me!

This photo shows, unfortunately, what public health is becoming in the United States. As a general public, we lack either the education and/or the desire to make smart, nutritional decisions when it comes to food. We eat too much fast food without thinking of the negative consequences, and, for this reason, obesity is rising rapidly. Through Public Health, we can educate the public and convince them to make healthier decisions in food choices and exercise, rather than wait until McDonald's opens at 5am like these two ladies. As a society, we can all make healthier decisions and avoid negative effects of being unhealthy.

This is Public Health
I'm Evelyn Ponce, this is what I thought of when I thought about what I felt Public Health meant; providing people with easy and safe ways to exercise, walk to school or just go on a leisurely walk. This bridge is the only thing that makes it possible for people at this point to go from one side of Provo river to the other.
